The Roman Catholic community in Aintree Village have traditionally been known by the title ‘Old Roan’, the area name, taken from the Pub and Railway Station nearby.

We are one of 236 missions within the present Archdiocese of Liverpool founded in August 1947.

You will find the church building on the tongue of land between Aintree Lane and Altway behind Kwik Save.

The main entrance fronts onto Altway.

The concrete tripod bell tower is a prominent landmark
