Old Roan Baptist Church - Services
On SundaysSunday: 10.30am weekly in Davenhill School
7.00pm 1st Sunday of the month in someone's home.
Monthly "Watchman Prayer" meetings.
Each Sunday a service is held at 10.30am followed by time to chat. We try to make our services relevant to people’s lives today. There can be drama, video clips, dance and more. A loop system is provided for the hearing impaired and access is easy because of the one level and no steps to enter. John Kearns, our minister, generally takes our services and we have occasional guest speakers.

The Youth Church
Children are very welcome and there are various provisions for different age groups from Crèche to teenagers. Laser (primary age) has their own programme with lots to appeal to them. The teenagers also get very involved with their own group and discuss the topic of each service.
The pre-school Crèche is located close to the main hall and has two staff each week that help provide lots to keep the little ones happy and content with a variety of things from toys and making things to music and games.
& Because Church isn’t just for Sundays
Mid week: Wednesdays 8.00pm
During the week, people meet in small groups to develop friendships and find out more about being a Christian. We also meet together once a month as a whole church during the week at the Old Roan Methodist Church Fellowship room to worship, to support one another, study the Bible and pray. We sometimes invite special guest speakers to these meetings.
There are also fortnightly prayer meetings as well, on a Wednesday afternoon, 1.30pm.

Our Cassette Ministry…
allows people who can’t get to church to hear the life applicable talks, often presented in a short series format. They go as far afield as New Zealand and Africa (amongst other places), as recommendations have spread. This has been going since 1997 with many thousands of tapes having been produced.
If you would like to request some of the tapes please email Pat Anders, church administrator.
